Knowing Which Facial Which Facial Fits Your Face is Important

Before you go to that beauty parlor looking to do a pretty face ritual, you need to check your skin type for the right facial treatment. The best facial kit for dry skin is only works if its your skin type. Same applies to all other facials you get. The right facial has benefits any salon loving women would love. Benefits that are psychological and support your skin in a way that is needed. All women want to feel special when they wake up in the morning. That is the point of suing the right facial on your face. Show the world you are special each day and make your face as pretty as it can be. Your confidence will go up and your faith in yourself will go up. More information on how you can find the best facial kit for your face below.

Know If Your Skin Type is Dry or Normal

The best facial kit for dry skin depends on whether your skin is dry or normal. A mother is the person who should have told you this as a child. However, we will tell you what you need to know in any event. Women with normal skin should use moisturizers and nourishing creams. The people with the dry skin can use classic facial cream or stem facial cream. I will try to give you a more in depth look below on the facial creams.

See What Facial Skin Kit You Need

There are many types and some are mixed in. People who are unaware should buy a group of facial kits to find the one that fits the face well. You could use the same ones your parents use. They are your parents, so genetically speaking you should be able to use the same facial they used. Though, somethings do change in genetics. In this event, try some creams out and see what happens. Below I will give you a more in depth for facial cream kit types.

Classic Facial Kit: The kit that is used at salons sometimes. It tones, cleans, and massages the face. Its a well balanced facial kit. The directions to use this involve using your fingers. All parts of body will be treated evenly. Provides you with many face items such as mask and protection coverage.

Plant Stem Cell Facial Kit: Makes the face look Younger. Suggested for people with dry skin. The kit replaces dead skin cells on the face and help the skin replenish itself. Signs of ageing, is reduced after this product is used week to week. Exfoliator, cream, mask, serum and an under-eye gel is included with this facial kit.

Pearl Facial Kit: A good kit for those who have oily skin. Removes the tan on your face and lighten skin texture. People who use this will look like they are full of light. Gives the user even skin tone and helps the skin colors on face look natural.

Common Eye Liner Mistakes You Should Try to Avoid

When you put on that eyeliner, you make mistakes you hope nobody can see. You put on the wrong type of eyeliner, and you don’t realize it until your at a business meeting. Someone looks at you strange one day, and you try your best to act dumb. You know why but its too embarrassing to explain. Your friends shake their head at you. Yes, its not a something you want to deal with ever. We want to help you with your eyeliner mistakes and get you back into focus. View the mistakes you need to avoid when putting on eyeliner below.

Common Eye Liner Mistakes You Should Try to Avoid

Eyeliner flick drops Too Low

The end part of the eyeliner is suppose to be dropped at the right spot. Its not something you know right from the back. Getting the best drugstore liquid eyeliner does not fix the problem either. Practice is the only way to make the part that goes up on the outside of your eye look good. It needs to go up a little. You got to put a skinny snake on your eye lids if you still don’t get. The snake needs to be small and tight. A skinny snake on your eye lid looks ten times better. Make sure every part of it is skinny and tight. The entire angle of the liner needs to be tight. Practice making your eye liner tight.

Forgetting to Freeze the Eyeliner

Forgetting to free the eyeliner you use on your face is really bad. Each product you buy from the best drugstore liquid eyeliner in town has to be dried too. In blunt terms, you lay the eyeliner on your face then use a brush to freeze the eyeliner in place. You free the eyeliner by using a translucent powder after the eyeliner drys. Wait for it to dry then use the translucent eyeliner on the entire eyeliner. It will free the eyeliner in place. Stop you from having eyeliner smears on your eyes. It happens all the time when you don’t free the eyeliner. Always freeze the eyeliner on face to keep it stuck in one spot.

Eyeliner Wing is Not Sharp Enough to Look Good

Looking good is the main reason to use eyeliner. If your goal is not to look good, then you should not be using it. Every eyeliner you put on the face, must look tight and appear to belong. There are many sizes of eyeliner you can try out. But, you have to try them out while you practice. Don’t try anything for any event. Test every eyeliner design you find and see if you can pull it off in public. After you run the tests, you will know the eyeliners designs that look good from the bad ones. Its a test and see process. Pay attention to people’s reactions and let them show you what is good and bad. If you don’t trust the opinions of strangers, then ask your friends if they like the new eyeliner look. Good friends will tell you if its good. Do all of this, you should be looking good with that eyeliner.

LOVE, LUSH, PAPERCHASE

I always make little lists of what to buy after looking at the Lush website, but don’t usually make my way into the shop – there’s just too much to choose from. Jag, a lovely SA, helped me pick out the scents & textures that I was looking for.

LUSH HAPPY HIPPY OCEAN SALT SANDSTONE BIG SHAMPOO SWEETIE PIE ENZYMION TOPSHOP HEAD OVER HEELS

LUSH HAPPY HIPPY OCEAN SALT SWEETIE PIE BIG SHAMPOO

LUSH SANDSTONE SOAP

LUSH HAPPY HIPPY OCEAN SALT SWEETIE PIE

I love the smell of blackcurrants, limes, lemons & grapefruit (all citrus.) Clean zingy scents & fruity scents are my favourites.

Happy Hippy smells like grapefruit, Ocean Salt of salty lime, & Sandstone of lemon. Sweetie Pie smells like blackcurrants, or You Snap The Whip. I got a sample of Big to try – I’m hoping for miracles. I took my friend along with me to get ‘Lushed.’ He doesn’t have the most regimented of skincare routines so he kept it simple & got Ocean Salt to scrub & Enzymion to moisturise. (Karolina at White City was so helpful & a lot of fun to talk to!)

TOPSHOP CREAM BLUSH HEAD OVER HEELS WAITROSE BABY BOTTOM BUTTER

TOPSHOP CREAM BLUSH HEAD OVER HEELS SWATCH

I’ve been meaning to pick up Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels for a while. I’ve heard it’s a great dupe for Something Special Cremeblend blush by MAC (I don’t love the Cremeblend formula.) At the moment it’s a tad light for me unless I pile it on, but I do love the shade & formula.

Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter smells like white chocolate. It feels whipped, silky on the skin & doesn’t leave me greasy. I’d read a few articles claiming it was better than sliced bread as an all round moisturiser, & seeing that Jessica had swapped for a tub, I had to try it out for myself. So far so good – I’m using it at night mainly but need to decant it into a smaller tub for my bag.

LOVE MAGAZINE PAPERCHASE HOT WATER BOTTLE RHODIA NOTEBOOK

LOVE MAGAZINE PAPERCHASE HOT WATER BOTTLE

I couldn’t say no to the adorable hot water bottle & cover! It’s not really the weather for it right now, but it’s cold in England 95% of the time, so it’ll come in handy I’m sure. I picked up a larger Rhodia notebook because the one I’ve got is small & fiddly for anything other than lists.

LOVE MAGAZINE

LOVE MAGAZINE WHAT LIES BENEATH BY MERT ALAS & MARCUS PIGGOT 2

LOVE MAGAZINE WHAT LIES BENEATH BY MERT ALAS & MARCUS PIGGOT

LOVE MAGAZINE ANIMAL BAGS BY BILLIE ACHILLEOS FOR LOUIS VUITTON

I’ve never heard of Love Magazine before. It’s a fashion/photography magazine that’s released twice per year. For £6 you get 426 pages of beautifully shot fashion shoots, ads & articles. There’s a great shoot featuring Lindsey Wixson that I forgot to photograph too (I love Lindsey.) I don’t study fashion, but I love photography. For that, it’s a catalogue of inspiration.

80) I’ve been carrying around this cute little frog-face box from Paperchase in my bag recently. It’s filled with dehydrated strawberries to snack on – they were a gift from Thailand. I can’t find any in the UK!

CAT + ROME

I’ll be on a plane to Rome in 10 hours, but I’m getting a little desperate trying to sort things out to pack. I’m only taking hand luggage (which sounded good at the time, but isn’t looking so hot right now, especially as my camera takes up a 1/4 of my bag..) & for reasons unknown to me I’ve also decided that now is the best time to rearrange & organise the house. Hm.

I have a few half written posts but no time to take pictures & finish them, so I’m falling back on a cat post for the second time.

CAT #2 EYO

His name is Eyo 😀

He’s a British shorthair mix, & is deaf & has been since birth. We’ve had him for 3 years since he was 8 weeks old. He enjoys lights shining on walls, shadows & digging under clothes/bedding to form sleeping caves.

26) I have plans for gnocchi, calzone & gelato in Rome. Mmm.

=^.^=

Because I have nothing interesting to show (I’m waiting for things to be delivered) but still wanted to post on 11.1.11, here’s a picture of one of my cats.

CAT #3 LOKI

His name is Loki (:

He’s 8 months old, only just grew out of the ‘ugly phase’, & growls when he eats & plays (he was feral when we adopted him from Cats Protection.) The grey unfocused blob at the front of the image is one of his toy mice from Ikea.

24) I’m still putting off doing Uni work, have bought too many new things, & am not eating particularly healthily like I said I would (BBQ with egg-fried rice & chili oil mmmm.) What happened to my resolutions?

SUNDAY LUST LIST #1

This week I’m been lusting after:

ASOS HOODED MILITARY CAMEL CAPE ROCK CRYSTAL LONG PENDANT EPICALLY EPIC RED VELVET CAKE LIP BALM

1. ASOS Hooded Military Cape – After seeing it worn as part of the Project Take 10 Challenge by Little Bird Fashion, I’m feeling the urge to buy it. (She has a great sense of style.)

2. ASOS Rock Crystal Long Pendant – While on the ASOS website I noticed this necklace & loved it at first sight. While I was fiddling around to find my NUS card (20% yes!) it sold out, no! So sad.

3. Red Velvet Cake Lip Balm – Phyrra had a review up about some products by the Epically Epic Soap Co. I didn’t fancy any of the scents/flavours that I saw, but noticed this Red Velvet lip balm on their Etsy site. RED VELVET! It sounds delicious.

FRAGONARD JUSTE UN BAISER SOLID PERFUME RAW CUT AMETHYST RING

4. Fragonard Juste un Baiser Solid Perfume – I’ve been on the hunt for a solid perfume for a while. Jessica at Getting Cheeky featured one by Fragonard that sounds exactly like what I’ve been looking for. “A fusion of mandarin, pear and violet on a heart of blackberry and wild strawberry, leaving behind an imprint of vanilla, amber and musk. Sweet, fruity and voluptuous.” Yum.

5. Raw Cut Amethyst Ring I’ve always thought Amethysts were dated (I’m thinking of the semi-precious healing stones that you can often find in shops by the seaside.) Rings by Moorea-Seal have swayed me completely.

That’s it for this week! (:

33) Some of my favourite books are by Haruki Murakami.

VOGUE ITALIA JANUARY 2011 – KEIRA KNIGHTLEY

CHANEL LOOSE POWDER: MAC MSFN’S CLASSY OLDER SISTER

I love MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, but despite its best efforts, it doesn’t keep me shine-free for long during the Summer. Blot, blot, powder is not something I like to do a lot of. While searching for something that would last longer I whittled my loose powder wishlist down to Laura Mercier, Guerlain & Chanel. I chose Chanel, obviously – I’ve become a bit of a Chanel fangirl recently.

CHANEL NATURAL FINISH LOOSE POWDER 30 NATUREL

CHANEL NATURAL FINISH LOOSE POWDER 30 NATUREL CLOSE UP

Chanel Natural Finish Loose Powder – 30 Naturel (30g/£31.50) is described as a “natural sheer matte finish” powder, that “through the inclusion of photo-reflective pigments” helps to “disguise fine lines and skin blemishes.” For me, it’s slightly matte, looks natural, yet it leaves a beautiful glow to the skin – very similar to MSFN. It feels much silkier than MSFN though, & gives a more brightened & luminous finish.

The jar is bulky (not something I’d carry around for touch ups) so after blotting during the day, I’ll apply a little MSFN if needed. I only have to blot once instead of 3-4 times with MSFN alone – quite the achievement for a combination/oily skinned girl + Summer!

CHANEL NATURAL FINISH LOOSE POWDER 30 NATUREL SIGMA TAPERED FACE F25

CHANEL NATURAL FINISH LOOSE POWDER 30 NATUREL SWATCH

I like to apply it with my Sigma F25 Tapered Face brush (my favourite brush so far for powder & bronzer, mostly because of the shape. I much prefer it to traditional paddle brushes.) I usually pat it lightly into the powder, swirl it in the lid & apply it all over my face after foundation & concealer. It doesn’t look cakey, it doesn’t feel heavy & although it looks very light against my skin when swatched heavily, it blends away into nothing. Because of this I don’t think it provides much, if any, coverage.

I wanted to see if I could capture the ‘photo-reflective pigments’, (tiny shimmer), so applied a few layers to my arm. If you look veryclosely & are looking for them, you can see a few. When applied on my face I don’t detect them but I do notice that my skin has the aforementioned glow to it. The powder has a slightly sweet, Soleil de Tan scent to it, but is much lighter – I love it, but I know not everyone would appreciate it.

CHANEL NATURAL FINISH LOOSE POWDER 30 NATUREL MAC MINERALIZE SKINFINISH NATURAL MEDIUM DARK

The main thing I love is that it sets my make up but doesn’t make me look too matte. Other powders I’ve tried felt like a compromise – they didn’t give me the MSFN glow.

Overall, would I recommend it? Yes. I think that loose powder is often overlooked but it makes a hell of a difference to the overall look & lasting power of a made up face. Is it worth the price? Yes. Comparatively speaking, MAC MSFN (10g/£18.50) works out at £1.85 p/g, & Chanel at £1.05 p/g. Despite the initial higher cost, you’re getting a lot more for your money, & for me it works better especially during the Summer.

78) Continuing with my Chanel-fangirl-ness, I can’t wait to see the Topkapi eye shadow palette in person! Especially the taupe shade. & Rouge Blush. & Plumetis lipstick, Illusoire & Epatant Illusion d’Ombre.. Check out The Beauty Look Book & Café Makeup for great swatches, comparisons & photographs of Chanel Fall 2011.

BOURJOIS BLUSHES – BURNING ROSES

I’m going to get the main negative out of the way at the start: Bourjois blushes smell like burning roses. Which is quite unfortunate for me as the scent lasts for a long time on my cheeks, & I really, really hate it. Am I the only one that thinks this?! I’m curious. Personally I prefer to smell my perfume, not my cheeks.

BOURJOIS BLUSH BRUN CUIVRE ROSE DE JASPE LILAS D'OR

BOURJOIS BLUSH BRUN CUIVRE ROSE DE JASPE LILAS D'OR PACKAGING

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush, Brun Cuivre, Rose de Jaspe & Lilas D’or (2.5g/£7.49) come in small, plastic, colour coordinated compacts. I quite like that I can easily differentiate the shades without opening the pots. They have a mirror inside the lid which I’ve never used, it’s just too small to be able to see your face/where you’re applying blush comfortably. There’s also a curved brush included (mine didn’t make it to the photography stage) which is an indication of how good they are, haha.

The blushes have an unfortunate habit of coming loose in the pots, so I pressed mine down lightly after Rose de Jaspe almost flung itself across the room as I opened it. Putting aside my annoyances, I really like these. For baked blushes, they’re not rock hard or soft & crumbly. What you see in the pan is what you will get on the cheek, Bourjois aren’t messing around with pigmentation.

BOURJOIS BLUSH BRUN CUIVRE

03 Brun Cuivre is a smooth, shimmery (very, very fine shimmer) glowy warm nude. I’d say it’s a shade or two darker than Dior Aurora with a huge amount of shimmer in comparison. It has a slight orange undertone, also similar to Aurora, but doesn’t translate as such on my cheeks. It has a harder texture than the other two. I like to use it as an everyday blush in a neutral yet healthy & bronzed look.

BOURJOIS BLUSH ROSE DE JASPE

95 Rose de Jaspe (featured in my Loves of April/May) is my favourite by far. It’s the silkiest of the three I own as well as being the one with the least shimmer & most sheen. I like that it can be used as a blush/highlighter combo – it makes for a quick cheek look & is one of the reasons I like it so much. I love the colour, it’s a slightly cool silvery pink with a blue sheen – quite beautiful.

BOURJOIS BLUSH LILAS D'OR

33 Lilas D’or is a plummy deep pink, laced with gold shimmer & a golden sheen. The particles are much more apparent in this than the first two. I think all of the blushes in the range that end with ‘D’or’ contain them. It isn’t as smooth as Rose de Jaspe, but not as hard as Brun Cuivre. Out of the three, it reminds me the most of an MSF. I think I’ll get more use of of it in A/W because it is a little darker. I use it occasionally when I want to focus on my cheeks, but I forgo a highlighter when I do.

BOURJOIS BLUSH BRUN CUIVRE ROSE DE JASPE LILAS D'OR SWATCHES
(L-R: Brun Cuivre, Rose de Jaspe, Lilas D’or)

A quick note on the price, Bourjois blushes work out at £2.99p/g (if bought at full price – I got mine during a 3-for-2 offer in Superdrug) while MAC blushes work out at £2.83 p/g, or £2.33 if you buy the refill pan. So, they’re not the cheapest in comparison. I can never be sure if the rumours that Bourjois is a baby Chanel are true. Even if it is, I can honestly say that the scent, coupled with the fact that they randomly fall out of the pots means that I don’t think they’re worth the full price, but they’re definitely worth it if you grab them on offer! I doubt that many of us pay full price for drugstore/highstreet anymore anyway?

76) I have thought about leaving one open for a couple of days to see if the scent dissipates, but I can only assume it would die an untimely blush-death. One cat will definitely try to lick/eat it, one will attempt to play & end up smashing it on the floor & the other will probably just sleep on it. Hm, what to do?
